If we could go back in time and tell our younger selves that our whole life would fit in our phones, which are square devices that we can talk to perform tasks, we probably wouldn’t believe it.

At least I wouldn’t have.

Or what about a hotel software that would tell you exactly what your guests think? 
Crazy right?

It’s impressive to notice all the technological advances in today’s world. Every industry seems to be going 100 miles per hour to adapt and develop new technologies to ease and improve their industry. Cars are now fully chargeable, our fridges have screens, and we can give commands and interact with speakers. 

Hospitality is not any different. It’s one of the industries where you can feel the impact of technology the most. 

Why? This industry is known for its human aspect—the feeling you get when you enter a new hotel, try a new restaurant, or when someone makes your day better with a simple gesture. 

So, how has technology changed how we view our industry and the guest experience?

AI software has advanced dramatically and is now an essential part of any business in the hospitality industry.

Not so long ago, every hotel had a person behind a desk with an entry book, an ink pen, and actual keys behind them to give to every guest.

In today’s world, that’s something that we would only see in a movie.

Hotel software and hospitality now go hand in hand. They make us believe in the “impossible.” What we thought one day could never be real is our reality.

Check-ins are now automatic or can be done through your phone. For example, you can request room service with a simple text instead of a call, and a restaurant’s menu is no longer a paper menu but a QR code.

Human interactions have become more efficient and practical for the hospitality industry. Technological advances, including all hotel management systems, have made it impossible to provide mediocre service. We now have a handful of tools ready to make the guest experience more incredible and practical.

In today's world, a hotel management system that allows you to provide guests with even better service is essential. 

As hotels, your goal is always to create memorable experiences and to make guests feel comfortable. With technology on our side, every process is easier and more efficient for both sides. 

These are all signs that we are evolving. We’re trying to be more efficient regarding productivity, but we can’t forget that the guest experience is everyone’s job.

It’s the manager’s job, the receptionist's, the housekeeper's, the engineer's, and in today’s world, it s even technology’s job
Every single role in a hotel comes across the guest at a certain point. Whether through the phone, in the hallway, or on their way out. Making the guest experience remarkable is everyone’s job.

Because human connection is essential in any kind of business, it is vital in hospitality. It’s an industry run by people and for people.

Working in hospitality means having the power to change someone’s day with a facial expression or help them feel better with the tone of our voice. Technology seems always to be one step ahead of us, but nothing can replace the warmth of the human touch.

Hotel management systems now allow guests to communicate with hotels in unprecedented ways. These tools bring an unimaginable level of communication and guest satisfaction.

Why? Because it’s immediate.

This is one of the many reasons technology and the hospitality industry are merging in the best way possible.

You can still get a fantastic guest experience as a guest, and it’s easier for hotel staff to deliver it
Technology revolutionizing the guest experience doesn’t mean fewer people are making magic happen or that there are more machines than people working. It means we’re finding the balance between technological advantages and human connection. 

It means we can make magic happen faster without you noticing.

Technology provides all the data, but it’s our job to turn it into something that will improve our businesses and the guest experience.
